Dr. Eric DeMeuse
Dr. DeMeuse has a PhD in Theology from Marquette Univeristy, a B.A. in History and a minor in Latin from Hillsdale College and an M.A. in Theology from Villanova University. Dr. DeMeuse has experience teaching at Marquette University, Villanova University, and at the high school level at Hillsdale Academy in Michigan.
Mrs. Debbie Branecky
Mrs. Branecky has a B.S. degree in Finance and Business Economics from the University of Southern California and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University. She has done consulting work in the retirement benefits and financial sectors and pro bono work in schools.
Mr. Geoff Butz
Mr. Butz was the founding art teacher of Chesterton Academy of Milwaukee. Mr. Butz holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Art Center College of Design and has taught for over ten years in addition to running his own art studio.
Mrs. Martha Ebent
Mrs. Ebent received a B.S. in Vocal Performance from Millikin University and an M.S. In Music Education from the University of Illinois. She has taught music at all age levels for over 20 years.
Mr. Ryan Grusenski
Mr. Grusenski holds a BA from Marquette University and a lifetime teaching license. He brings a wealth of teaching experience, having taught for 15 years, most recently at Marquette University High School from 2013-2022. For the last 10 years Mr. Grusenski has further served in various ministries as a marriage preparation speaker, small group Theology of the Body leader, and as a presenter for Brew City Catholic and the Catholic Ecology Center.
Mr. Paul Guenzel
Mr. Guenzel has a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Thomas More College and an M.A. in English from the University of Dallas. He received a full-tuition fellowship to study at the Center for Faith and Culture in Oxford, England for an intensive study of literature of English culture from the middle ages to the mid-twentieth century.
Mrs. Abigail Hagerman
Mrs. Hagerman has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Cincinnati Christian University. Her professional experience includes youth ministry, administrative support in the non-profit sector, and college admissions in Christian higher education. One effect of her conversion to the Catholic faith is a passion for Catholic classical education and the fruit it bears in young people, families, and the community.
Ms. Mary Hundt
Ms Mary Hundt received her BA in History and an MA in theology from Christendom College. She has experience in both education and counseling services.
Captain John Kolbeck
Captain John Kolbeck holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the US Naval Academy, a Master of Science from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Master of Arts from the Naval War College. From 2015-2019 he served as a middle and high school teacher in mathematics and science at Trinity Academy. Prior to his years of teaching, Captain Kolbeck honorably served in the US Navy for over two decades in a variety of capacities, notably as a nuclear engineer and commanding officer of a nuclear submarine, and worked in a number of related fields in the public sector.
Ms. Martha LoCoco
Ms. LoCoco received her BA in Politics and a concentration in secondary education from the University of Dallas. She holds state teaching certification in Social Studies.
Ms. Sarah McQuade
Ms. McQuade received a Bachelor of Science degree in Bio-Chemistry from UW-Madison and has worked with high school and college students as a teacher, coach, mentor, and FOCUS Missionary.
Mrs. Samantha Marugg
Mrs. Marugg has a B.A. in English, with a minor in Secondary Education, from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD. She has teaching experience in literature, classics, history, and religion courses at two classical schools.
Dr. Lynn Pyne
Dr. Pyne received her B.A. in Molecular Biology from Vanderbilt University and her medical degree from Vanderbilt Medical School and practiced as a pediatrician for many years. Dr. Pyne began teaching with her own children and in other classical schools since 1998, mainly in the fields of math and science.
Mr. Cal Schroder
Mr. Schroder graduated from Thomas More College with a B.A. in Liberal Arts with a focus in history. He has extensive experience working with and mentoring high school and college students.
Dr. Paul Strycker
Dr. Paul Strycker received a bachelor of science from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Astronomy from New Mexico State University. Dr. Strycker has been teaching for over ten years and currently teaches at Concordia University in Wisconsin.
Mr. Hayden Hagerman
Mr. Hagerman holds a BA from Cincinnati Christian University, a Masters in Divinity from Duke University, and has completed PhD coursework in historical theology from Marquette University. He has taught for over four years at private high schools across the country in addition to teaching high school philosophy for the Kentucky Governor’s Scholarship Program. Mr. Hagerman also brings experience as a University of Notre Dame ACE Teacher Mentor, a member of the National Honor Society Board, and a basketball coach.
Ms. Therese Scanlan
Ms. Therese Scanlan is a recent graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville. She has been an actress on stage for most of her life and has directed a number of projects including Chesterton Academy’s summer Shakespeare performances for the last two years. In addition to her incredible work on stage, Ms. Scanlan was an active participant in evangelization and mission efforts at Franciscan University and looks forward to using those skills in her role as a teacher and mentor at Chesterton Academy!
Mrs. Joanna Maurer
Mrs. Joanna Maurer holds a BA in Business Administration with a minor in art and an MA in Professional Accounting from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Mrs. Maurer has been ballroom dancing for 16 years. Having danced competitively for five years, Mrs. Maurer has taught private and group ballroom dance lessons and run a ballroom dance club with her family. We are excited to bring her enthusiasm for dancing to Chesterton Academy!
Mrs. Tammy Streitmatter
Besides being athletic director, Tammy Streitmatter serves as the assistant cross country and track and field coach at Chesterton Academy. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Alverno College and has previous experience in teaching Middle School for 6 years followed by 13 years as a Director of Religious Education.
Miss Celia Barrett
Ms. Barrett comes to us with a Marketing degree and work experience both in the corporate and non-profit world. She was formerly the Outreach Director for Pro-Life Wisconsin and served as Training Administrator for the Manitou Group. She brings a wealth of organizational skills from coordinating events, training, and communications. In addition, she values classical, liberal education and has a love for reading.
Mrs. Ann Courchaine
Ms. Anna Jace
Ms. Jace holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ave Maria University and has previous experience on a Development Team at Community Pregnancy Clinics in Naples, FL. Her work as a NICU Pediatric Nurse unlocked a strong desire to serve families and share the fruits of a Catholic, classical education with others.
Bonnie Zamorski
Mrs. Zamorski oversees all office operations at Chesterton Academy of Milwaukee. She has a wealth of knowledge in office operations from her twelve years as office manager at Pro-Life WI, three years as a school secretary, and four years in computer system operations. She was educated in computer operations and has experience in human resources, financial reporting, employee training, event planning, efficient office operations, and computer system administration. Mrs. Zamorski brings joyful order to all operations!

Mrs. Nanette Lavine
Mrs. Lavine graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a Bachelor's in Education with concentrations in Early Childhood and Special Education. She taught for 5 years in Catholic schools, both at the elementary and middle school levels. Some of her teaching experience included the special opportunity to serve in schools led by the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist and the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia. Mrs. Lavine has a passion for education and is grateful to serve the Church through the families and staff of Chesterton!
